Know where your money goes. Without the typing.
Say “coffee 4.50 and lunch 12” and both are logged. Pay with Apple Pay and it logs itself.
Three seconds. Then it’s done.
No forms, no picking categories from a list. Write it the way you’d say it.
Type it or say it
One line, any order, as many things as you bought. Spanish works too: “almuerzo 12,50 y gasolina 40”.
It sorts itself
Each item gets its own entry, amount and category. Fix one and Ctrl Log remembers it for that store.
See where it went
Every budget is a bar filling toward a dashed line. You see what’s close before it runs out.
Tap to pay. Logged before you put your phone away.
A Wallet automation passes each Apple Pay payment straight to Ctrl Log, on your iPhone. No bank login and no server in between.
- Logs the store and amount the moment you pay
- Skips an accidental repeat within two minutes
- Shows the last payment it logged, with a test button
Log it however you’re holding your phone.
Type a line
coffee 4.50 and lunch 12 becomes two entries.
Ask Siri
“Log expenses in Ctrl Log”, then say what you spent.
Apple Pay
Payments log themselves through a Wallet automation.
Back Tap
Double-tap the back of your iPhone to log without opening the app.
Scan a receipt
The store, total and category are read on the phone.
Control Center
One button opens Ctrl Log ready to type.
Your money is your business.
The AI that reads your entries is Apple Intelligence, running on the iPhone. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Questions
Is it free?
Logging, your full history and CSV export are free. They’re never locked behind a trial, and nothing is deleted if you don’t pay.
Does my data leave my phone?
No. Ctrl Log has no server and no account. The AI runs on the iPhone, and scanned receipts are read there and never saved.
Which iPhones does it work on?
Any iPhone with iOS 26. With Apple Intelligence, entries are read by the on-device model. Without it, a built-in reader handles them.
Which languages does it understand?
English, Spanish and German when you log. The app itself is in English and Spanish.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Settings, then Export data to CSV, at any time.
Does it work with the 6 jars method?
Yes. Turn on the 6 jars split and your income is divided into jars, each with its own bar.
Your next coffee is the first entry.
Ctrl Log is coming to the App Store for iPhone.
Coming soon to theApp StorePrivacy policy
Ctrl Log has no server and no account, so there is nowhere for your data to go. We don’t collect it.
What we collect
Nothing. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no sign-in. We can’t see your entries, your budgets or how you use the app.
Where your entries live
On your iPhone, in Ctrl Log’s own storage. The Ctrl Log widget reads the same storage on the same phone. Deleting an entry removes it, and deleting the app removes everything.
What happens on the phone
- Reading what you type or say uses Apple Intelligence on the device. Your words are not sent anywhere.
- Apple Pay logging receives the amount and store name from your own Shortcuts automation, on the phone.
- Receipt scans are read on the phone. The photo is not saved or sent.
- Budget alerts are notifications your phone creates itself.
Export
You can export your entries as a CSV file at any time. You choose where it goes, through the iPhone share sheet.
Children
Ctrl Log is not directed at children under 13.
Changes and contact

Apple Pay payments aren’t logging
Open Ctrl Log, go to Settings, then Apple Pay automation. It shows the last payment it logged and has a test button. If the test works but payments don’t, check that the automation in the Shortcuts app is set to run immediately.
Something logged in the wrong category
Tap the entry and pick the right one. The next payment at that store goes to the category you picked.
Getting your data out
Settings, then Export data to CSV. It works whether or not you pay for anything.
